To, The Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, Supreme Court of India, New Delhi Subject: Representation for safeguarding judicial dignity and framing guidelines on baseless recusal pleas Respected Sir, I respectfully submit this representation as a concerned citizen. Recently, the Delhi High Court, in its decision concerning recusal, rejected the plea seeking withdrawal of Hon’ble Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma from hearing the matter, observing that the allegations were unfounded and could undermine the institutional dignity of the judiciary. This issue, in my humble view, raises a matter of wider public importance. If allegations regarding judicial bias are made without substantive basis, it may adversely affect not only the judicial process but also public confidence in the administration of justice.
